Elevate Your Health. Enhance Your Life.
Step inside our comfortable 2.0 ATA hyperbaric chamber, where 100% oxygen is delivered under increased atmospheric pressure in a calm and relaxing environment.
The Power Of Oxygen Under Pressure
HBOT enhances the delivery of oxygen throughout the body, creating an environment that promotes cellular function, tissue repair, recovery and the body’s natural healing processes.
Sports Injury And Exercise Recovery
Increased oxygen delivery may assist the recovery of muscles, tendons and other soft tissues following injury or strenuous exercise. HBOT may also support post-exercise recovery by helping tissues meet the increased metabolic demands associated with repair.
Nervous System Balance
HBOT may influence autonomic regulation, including parasympathetic activity — the “rest-and-digest” branch responsible for functions associated with relaxation and recovery. Changes in autonomic measures such as heart-rate variability have been investigated following hyperbaric exposure, providing a possible physiological link between HBOT, nervous system regulation and restorative states.
Cancer Recovery Support
In health and metabolic protocols like Press-Pulse, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber serves as an intensive, targeted booster that delivers high-pressure oxygen to safely stimulate cellular repair, optimise tissue oxygenation, and support the body’s natural defence mechanisms. HBOT also has an established role in treating certain delayed radiation injuries, where increased oxygen delivery can support healing in tissues damaged by radiation therapy.
Sleep & Relaxation
HBOT may influence sleep through its effects on oxygenation, circulation and autonomic nervous system activity. Research has explored changes in sleep quality and sleep-related measures following treatment, with potential implications for deeper restorative rest and physical recovery.
Gut And Digestive Health
Improved oxygenation may support intestinal tissue integrity, gut barrier function and inflammatory balance. Research has also explored HBOT's effects on the intestinal lining and biological pathways involved in maintaining a healthy gut environment.
Energy And Cellular Function
Oxygen is required by mitochondria to produce ATP — the energy used to power cellular activity. By substantially increasing dissolved oxygen in the bloodstream, HBOT provides cells and tissues with greater access to oxygen for normal metabolism and energy production.
Inflammatory Response
HBOT can influence inflammatory signalling and oxidative processes involved in the body's response to injury. Research suggests repeated hyperbaric exposure can affect the activity of certain inflammatory mediators involved in healing and recovery.
Circulation & Oxygenation
Under hyperbaric pressure, significantly more oxygen dissolves directly into blood plasma. This allows oxygen to travel beyond that carried by haemoglobin alone and increases the amount available to tissues, including areas where circulation may be compromised.
New blood vessel formation
HBOT can stimulate angiogenesis — the development of new blood vessels. This process improves the vascular network supplying healing tissue and can contribute to longer-term improvements in local blood supply and oxygen delivery.
Stem & Progenitor Cells
Studies have demonstrated increased mobilisation of certain stem and progenitor cells following hyperbaric oxygen exposure. These circulating cells participate in processes including tissue regeneration, vascular repair and new blood vessel development.
Brain & Cellular Health
The brain has a particularly high metabolic demand for oxygen and glucose. Increasing oxygen availability can influence cerebral metabolism and cellular energy production, with HBOT being investigated for its effects on brain function, neuroplasticity and neurological recovery.
Wound Healing
HBOT is an established treatment for certain difficult-to-heal wounds. By increasing oxygen availability in compromised tissue, it can support new blood vessel development, improve local circulation and strengthen oxygen-dependent immune activity that helps the body combat certain infections and create conditions more favourable for healing.
Collagen Formation And Tissue Repair
Oxygen is essential for several stages of healing. Higher tissue oxygen levels can assist collagen synthesis, fibroblast activity and other cellular processes involved in rebuilding and regenerating damaged tissue.
The Story Behind HELIX
I’m Diane, the founder of HELIX Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. My connection with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) began through personal experience.
I first incorporated HBOT into my broader wellness and recovery journey while experiencing chronic fatigue associated with mould-related illness, and later used it as supportive therapy during my recovery following breast cancer treatment. Experiencing HBOT as part of my own recovery inspired me to learn more about the therapy, further my education in the field and ultimately create HELIX so I could share it with others.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy combines increased atmospheric pressure with oxygen to significantly increase the amount of oxygen available to the body. Under pressure, additional oxygen dissolves into the blood plasma, allowing greater oxygen delivery to tissues throughout the body. This oxygen-rich environment supports cellular function and the body’s natural processes involved in repair, recovery and restoration.
I am a qualified Hyperbaric Technician, trained under Dr Jason Sonners, DC, PhD — an internationally recognised hyperbaric practitioner, researcher and educator — and certified through the International Board of Undersea Medicine (IBUM).
At HELIX, I am passionate about continually expanding my knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and providing individualised care. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, protocols can be tailored according to each client’s circumstances, goals and response to therapy.
Where appropriate, HELIX can also work collaboratively with a client’s existing healthcare practitioners and other health professionals, allowing HBOT to complement their broader care and recovery plan.
